            We often see beautiful tiling on floors and walls. Such patterns are created by placing

            shapes  close  to  each other without  leaving
            any gaps or overlaps. Triangles, squares and
            rectangles  can be arranged  in this way to
            cover  a  surface  completely.  These  patterns
            are called tessellations.

            But some shapes, like circles, ovals, or irregular figures, cannot
            make  such patterns  because  they  leave gaps or overlap when
            placed together.
